My PS3's hard disk wont work how could i fix it or get sony to?

My playstation fell about 4 feet to the ground and since than it wont work a message appears saying the hard disk wont work. How can I make it work again?

Generally hard drives are not designed for heavy impacts like dropping four feet to the ground, especially for a PS3. I believe it is safe to say your hard drive is broken and probably for good. The best advice I can offer is buy a new hard drive for your system. They are easy to install and you have control over how large the drive is for storing media. One thing to check before buying a new drive is seeing whether the drive came loose. The drive may have slide out far enough to where the motherboard doesn't recognize it's there because the hard drive isn't plugged in. A fall like that could knock anything loose in your gaming system.
