How do you save the game?

How do i save game progress on PS3 (Both fat and slim)?

• With PS2 things were so simple. Insert CD to play the game,and use memory card to save the game progress. PS3 seems to be so ******* complex. One thing that worries me is,how do i save my game progress on PS3? And what's the difference between how you save your game (as in save files,not the game itself) on PS3 fat and on PS3 slim?

  most games have auto save , they all save directly to the ps3 hard drive you can also copy saves to a usb stick to back them up there's no difference between the slim and older models - they are both using the same firmware versions which you can update automatically if your ps3 has an internet connection or by using a computer and usb stick with no memory cards to worry about and auto save a ps3 is simple - get to a save point or finish a level and that's it ..... just choose to save or it automatically saves depending on the game if you play ps1 games on a ps3 you need to create a virtual ps1 memory card on the ps3 hard drive , it's really easy - just go to ps1 card data on the ps3 menu and select create card --- afterwards you save ps1 games exactly as you would on a ps1 or ps2 .
