Why is my PS3 freezing during online gameplay?

Playstation 3 80GB freezing problem?

• I've had this PS3 for about 2 1/2 years, and now, problems are starting to occur. I bought the following games: LA Noire, Saints Row 3, Revelations etc. In general: New games. I pop them into the PS3, and in the beginning of my gameplay, my PS3 just freezes. I tried lots of games that just recently came out, and it just ends up freezing. I know it's not a space problem because I have 30GB left, and I know it's not an overheating problem because I keep this PS3 clean every 3 weeks or so. The fan is really quiet. I tried all these games on my friend's PS3 Slim, and it worked fine. I then tried the old games (games with the old PS3 logo, released 2009 and earlier) and it worked fine. For those with the old PS3, do games work fine for you? Has anyone had this similar problem before?

  your ps probley just needs a system update hook up toa internet source then do a system update that should fix the problem cause my ps does that somtimes when i play fallout new vegas battlefield 3 and i gotta go to friends house cause i dont have internet at my house to update my ps
