Which TV should I buy to use with my PS3?

PS3 TV compatibility?

  • Ok so I have a standard hd tv from like 5 years ago and i was wondering if it would support an hdmi cable considering I am about 2 buy a PS3. Te tv is not a plasma which is mymain concern since every video I see on this topic has a plasma or LCD.Mine is a big screen tv about 55 inches or soand like 2 feet thick so obviousy it isn'ta lat screen. So my question is if i got an hmi cable would it work with this tv or would I have to buy an adapter for my tv because it looks like all of the hdmi cables use USB ports which unfortunately are not on my tv. Thank you

    USB and HDMI are not related at ALL. Check behind your TV for an HDMI port. If it has one, then you can hook up your PS3 to it. The HDMI port should look like this: http://www.fastrackcomputing.net/forum/images/HDMI_port.jpg If it doesn't. you will not be able to hook it up by HDMI. You will have to use the standard AV cable that is supplied with the PS3.

u would have to check on the back as to wether the tv has a hdmi port or not if so it will work, altho ps3 comes with composite cables as standard which are on pretty much every tv
