My PS3 is not working.

My PS3 isn't working properly?

  • I bought my PS3 a few years ago, and its always worked fine for me. Its had the occasional freeze, but those were few and far between. A couple of days ago, it started acting really weird. When I went to turn it off via either the power button or from the menu, it turned back on again immediately after. Both my controllers, which i got at the same time as the PS3, are also not working. They no longer turn the PS3 on, and they only work if they are connected by the USB cable i got with the PS3, and then, the PS3 gives me a notification that "an unknown USB device has been connected", or something along those lines. It is also not connecting to my wireless internet, which it has always done before, even though my laptop does connect. I'm not an expert with stuff like this, any suggestions?

  • Answer:

The controller thing happens to me a lot and It usually just goes away. You should try turning off the PS3 with the power button on the back of the console and then turn it back on.
