How to set up HDMI on PS3?

How do you set up ur ps3 to play/display using the red white and yellow cord insted of only the hdmi cord?

  • I have bought three diff types of cords to do just this, but i hook and plug em up and nothing i think i can even use my ps2 old cord to do it but i dont know how to set it up.

  • Answer:

Yes, just press and hold the PS3 power button until you hear the 2 beep sound, and you can see your display. To maximize the display quality, got to settings>Display settings> turn your RGB to "limited" and Superwhite "off". Turn the cross-color filter "On". Set everything else to automatic.

So..you had it connected via HDMI before? And now you want to change back to the composite cables? Just connect it up with those cables and when you're turning it on, hold down the on button until it beeps. That should reset the display settings :)

1. Turn off the PS3. 2. When its off, hold down the power button on the console until the console has beeped twice. Should take about 5-6 seconds. 3. This reverts the display settings back to the A/V multiport.

no clue...sorry
