How to stream videos from PC to PS3?

Ps3 too PC connections without the net?

• I have a ps3 and a laptop, and i heard that it was possibly to stream videos from my laptop to my PS3 and i've been trying with all different programs all day but i have yet to come a across and easy and successful method. However in the end i did find out a way to connect them but it went through our home internet. which was a no go, ( for other reasons) and so i was wondering if there actually is a way to connect both my ps3 and pc ( both wireless enabled) in order to stream vid, music etc. like i had heard it was.   Yes, you can stream content from your PC to your PS3, but the Internet is required. If you don't have Internet, you can't stream. Using Media Servers requires an Internet connection with a wireless router hooked up to a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network). You can not stream using the wired method (even if you do have Interenet). Get the Internet, then use a wireless router, and you will be able to stream from a PC to the PS3. Your only other way is to use external media (USB drive, external HDD, Flash Cards, etc.) to transfer content from the PC to the PS3.
