What would happen if i plug my ps3 controllers into my 360?

i have friends coming over and i have 2 ps3 controllers but one xbox 360 controller, and we usually play the 360, so what would happen if i plug the two wired ps3 controllers to my 360

You can try it but it may either deny your Xbox from starting or the controllers won't start. Only way to unlock it is to download an emulator to unlock the controllers. But it would be easier if they brought controllers. They cost $60 each which not many want to buy.
