How to connect ps3 to flatscreen tv with Internet?

  • Hi so I have a Sony flatscreen tv and it can go on the Internet. So I don't have a router for my ps3 to connect wirelessly to the Internet. And my Internet is ATandT dsl box. Can I connect my ps3 to my tv and be able to play online? What's a cross over cable and Ethernet cable? Which one do I use to connect my ps3 to my tv? My tv connects wirelesly to he Internet so I was wondering if I can connect m ps3 to my tv and playonline please help tyvm.

    If your TV connects wirelessly to the internet then where do you get the internet signal from if you don't have a router? If you have a DSL modem and it is connected to your PC it is connected by an Ethernet cable. To connect your PS3 to the internet you need that Ethernet cable to be plugged into the PS3. You cannot just have internet on your TV and give it to the PS3. You need a wireless router and all your devices can get internet. Your TV does not produce an internet signal you give it the signal from your modem, but you cannot or else your TV is the only thing that will get the connection. GET A WIRELESS ROUTER, it is the only way for you to have internet on your TV, PS3 and PC at the same time.
