Ps3 screen gets cut off in a 4:3 ratio. any ideas to fix?
-
we are currently running our ps3 on a standard def 4:3 ration projection tv and the image on the screen gets cut off. I went through both the tv menu and the ps3 settings to try and fix the problem but the closest i came to fixing the problem was setting the ps3 to a 16:9 ratio and while that stopped the cutoff it squished the image and made it look distorted. I'm guessing that sony purposefully did this so that people will stop using old tv's and buy their 16:9 hd sets. I'm just wondering if there is any way to fix this or maybe jailbreak the ps3 so that it has a real 4:3 and not a cut off 16:9

Answer:
Video game consoles aren't supposed to be used on Projection TVs, since they can cause damage. I'd highly suggest you move your PS3 to a different TV. Pretty much any other kind of TV.
