How long does it take to scan bluetooth for ps3?

I looked it up and everyone's saying it should only take a few seconds. It didn't come with a manual. It came with the Socom video game, but it says it should work for the ps3. I'm just confused because it just keeps scanning and scanning, am I doing something wrong? And no it is not being used with anything else while I'm scanning it. Please help /:

maximum 1 minute before u scan u should make full its battery is 100% .. so charge it for 4 hours at least and then scan
