How do I clear space for my ps3 HDD?

HDD space on ps3????????

• I just bought mlb the show '11 for my ps3, and its saying i cant play it because i dont have enough hdd space .. I deleted mostly everything i can from my ps3 , and its still not working .. it says i need like 5120 or whatever .. What do i have to do to free the HDD space? Thanks in advance !

  You don't have to delete game saves but you have to delete the game that is on the hard drive. Everytime you put a new game into the PS3 it takes like 5GB of space to play the game and you might play a lot of games. Iam thinking you do and that is why this is happening. The folder where these big files are in are in the game bar which I always know as the remote controller....It will say game saves and saved data in another I really don't know which one it is but you will see that the game saves are only 23mb but then you will see others like 5-7GB's so those are the ones you delete.
