Will a generic off-brand Playstation 1 Memory Card work in a Playstation 2?
-
I want to know if a generic off-brand Playstation 1 Memory Card (ie - one that wasn't manufactured by Sony) will work in a Playstation 2. I want to save game files when I replay my classic PS1 Games. I have a slim Silver Edition PS2 and I want to buy a cheap PS1 Memory Card - I just wanted to check first and make sure that it'll still work with a PS2. God forbid it doesn't and I'm out three dollars.

Answer:
They should work but in my experience third party memory cards have a tendency to fail after a while more so than official memory cards, so don't be surprised if your memory card wipes out of the blue or something. This happens on any PlayStation by the way, PS1 or 2.
