PLEASE HELP!!!! i have a ps3 setup problem!!!! please ANYONE! Please?

i set up my ps3 in my parents room and put hdmi on that tv................ the next day i moved my ps3 to the living room wich is a hdtv ... put i didnt put hdmi ... i put the yelow,white, and red cables in.......... i switch the tv the AV2 and nothing showed up!!!!!! i mean xbox works!!! but i never used hdmi on x box.................. PLEASE ANSWER I WILL THANK YOU SO MUCH AND U DONT KNOW HOW MUCH U CAN HELP ME>>>>! :)
Answer:

have you checked Settings>Display Settings>Output Display? set it to a lower resolution since composite cables are not meant for HD..

just press and hold the power button for abt 6 sec (you will hear multiple beeps) to set it back to default settings... it will be fine...
