Is there a way to hook my PS2 into my computer to play online but still play with my ps2 controller?

because i have GTA san andreas and i know i can play online but i was just wondering if i can play through my computer.

well if you get an ethernat cable and connect it the back of the ps2 and then to a wireless router or a regular router and that should do it and if it doesnt plug the cable into the wall were there is an output
