Why can't I connect with my friend on PS3?

MW2 PS3 I can't connect to one particular friend?

• hi i have 1 particular friend on ps3 who i can Never join his mw2 party he can sumtimes join me.. but i can never join him both our network connection settings are as they shud be .. NAT Type - 2 (open) and weve read the the settings list.. we have exactly the same settings. can any 1 help me plz? ps. im using BTinternet wireless.. (using wire not possible for me.. im too far from homehub)

  both of you need to try connecting in a lobby or chatroom or something , if you can't then write down the time . each go into your routers setup menu and look for user logs , usage records or whatever it's called in the menu - different routers use different names look at the record for when you tried connecting , and it will say something like : port ___ blocked , port attempted connection ... blocked , ip address __ blocked connection , something similar that will tell you what's the problem and then you can find a fix . it's problem a firewall or port issue on one of your connections , but until you know exactly you can't fix it . I had a similar issue with one friend on cod4 , he hadn't enabled upnp and after he did it was fixed .
