Is is easy to connect a home cinema system to my PS3?

I have a ps3, samsung hdtv,a phillips hts3520 home cinema system(5.1) i want to connect them all up with hdmi?

  • i have these three things to connect, trouble is the home cinema doesnt have optical cable socket to connect to the ps3, it does have the red white and yellow plug sockets, these work but I'm hardly hearin much out of the back speakers and the sound from ps3 isn't alternating back and front, so its not really full surround sound. it does have an hdmi cable socket as does the ps3, but only one each whereas my tv has 3, does that info help? can anyone help me to connect these three things up with full surround sound for each? (ps. i have considered a hdmi splitter but not sure which one or if it would work to take video from the ps3 to the tv, and to take audio from the ps3 to the home cinema system...) many thanks, David
