Why does my ps3 keep overheating?

PS3 freezes while loading game, why is this happening? is this a disc or hardware problem?

• My game has frozen on me twice and I am not sure why. Once when it was loading BF3 it froze, second when I was playing online it froze while loading a multiplayer level. Is this a hardware problem or a disc problem? There is no scratches or damage to the disc. Also my PS3 slim is less than 2 weeks old, I keep it in a well ventilated, I regular dust it and it hardly gets hot, so not an overheating problem. Is this indicating a hardware problem? or does this sometimes happen to everyone?

  most likely a hardware problem. if the ps3 is broken it will continue to deteriorate, freeze more until the game becomes un-readable completely, and other games will follow until the ps3 completely dies. it might seem like a disc error because it only happens to a specifc game. but unfortunately it's not usually the case. if you get hit with error code 8001054 while booting up the game, then its probably time to say goodbye.
