How do you record gameplay videos without a capture card on ps3 using a dvr?

I have a ps3 and want to be able to upload my online gameplay videos to youtube without a capture card. Ive seen ways to do it with a dvr but i cant figure out what im doing wrong. If anyone is in the same predicament that I am please help it would be greatly appreciated if it matters i have a motorola DCX4300 dvr. Also i do not have a HDMI cable for my tv.

does your tv have an output, to send data to the box some tv's dont have it these days, but it need to be plugged in an output slot
