How to record gameplay to ps3?

I would like to record gameplay to my ps3, i have an EZ grabber and i have looked at all sorts of different ways to set this up, all have not worked :( i was wondering if there was any other way than connecting it up to a DVD player so i can get it to work.

I usually just use my dvd recorder and record my game play as I would record a tv show ! I'm not familiar with ez grabber but I'm guessing it works similar to dazzle which allows you to capture your video !
