How do you record PS3 microphone commentary with HD-PVR?

I just got an HD-PVR on Saturday so I could make Youtube videos of my PS3 games. I hooked everything up and only had a few issues. One of them I figured out how to fix was how to hear other players mic talk. But one issue, and it's a very big one for me, is that I can't commentate while I am playing the game. I spent all the extra money I had on this HD-PVR and am trying to avoid buying another recording software on my computer(I already have Fraps). Is there a way I can record my commentary while playing the PS3 through HD-PVR without buying another software to re-commentate over it?
