What is wrong with my HDMI audio when connected with my PS3 and HDTV?

  • I've just bought a PS3 with a All-in-one HDMI cable. My setup all together is my PS3 -- HDMI CABLE -- My HDTV. No sound system involved. When I play games like Killzone or MGS4, During cutscenes, the audio goes silent when facing center of someone talking. I don't think it's my TV, as i've tried it with 2 different TVs and no difference. For example, in Killzone 2, if i'm being shot from straight infront of me, i can't hear the sound from the gun, but if I turn to the right or left so i'm being shot from my side, the audio can be heard. Same if the camera is facing somebody talking to me in the centre of the screen. Pretty annoying in MGS4 because i've yet to hear anyone's voices in the cutscene. I've set my audio options to HDMI automatic and still the same. Help! I'm so confused! Fast reply would be great! Rachael.

    If you have more than one console or dvd player or anything like that pluged into the TV before the Ps3 it may cause the ps3 sound to go in and out (it would be considered the scondary input) or your settings on you TV wmay be changed i not shue other that that. =)
