Why do ps3 games take so long to install /speed booster?

this is my bf about this {i understand why you should install but about 21 min+ to install a game and Ive had to install bout 7 of 12 of my games I'm new to ps3 always had a Xbox but on my 360 10 to 15 min max even for a 2-3 disk game or my PC bout 10-15 min} Q:is there any way to speed up install
