Ps3 game region help pls?

i downloaded marvel vs capcom 2(demo) in playstation network, but whan i play it, it is like when you play pal game on an ntsc. completely unplayable. what does that mean? my ps3 has the NTSC-J designation, can you inform me on restrictions and something regarding on regions in ps3. all i know is that ps3 games are region free and movies are the one that is region locked. and also, im using standard tv.

I don't know if it will help but try this: Go to the display settings of your PS3 and check if 576i is enabled. If it is, disable it. Also check if there are some kind of framerate settings. If so, make sure that you can only play at 30 or 60 Hz, as 25 and 50 Hz only work on PAL CRTs and more advanced other TVs. I hope it helps.
