What router works with both the PS3 and the WII?

Will a 'NetGear-N150 Wireless Router' work with PS3 and Wii?

• seriously. I want to play online with my systems, but I don't know what kind of router to buy?! If not, which router should I buy? I heard 'N' routers don't work with PS3. If I do get this one, how do I set it to work with PS3 and Wii?

  Hey there, Type N routers work with the PS3, but they are VERY EVIL AND TEMPERMENTAL (and I would know, I own one) with it. PS3's don't get along well with Type N routers even though they are technically better. Your better off to go with a Type G router. Try to keep the router, PS3 and modem (if you have one) fairly close. In the same room close if you can. PS3's will get along just fine with Type G routers. With type N routers, certain games and chat features simply won't work. An example would be Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed Revalations. Its impossible to play the multiplayer online if I'm using my router. I can only play those games if I use my modem (which I also suggest buying, get them seperate so you have the choice to choose between the two for EXACTLY that reason of in case your router happens to be evil with certain games). With the PS3 you want to get an ethernet cable for a direct connection. With the Wii, its more complicated. You have to buy a seperate thing for it to go online (its a USB flash stick thing that you need to keep plugged into a USB port and it comes with its own software that you need to install on your computer for it to work). That's what I did with my Wii. That's using the WiFi I think. I'm not entirely sure if the Wii has an ethernet cable slot or not for a direct plug in like the PS3. I would look into that though if I were you. But as far as I know, the only way is with that USB flash stick thing that communicates with the Wii to get you online.Just follow the step by step instructions when your setting up and you'll be good for the Wii.
