Where can I find a good ps1 emulator?

Ps1 emulator help help?

  • Ok my uncle has a ps3, and has every snes, nes, and genesis game ever made saved on his ps3 hard drive. I have a ps2 with the 40gb HDD that is able to save only ps2 games not ps1. It will read ps1 games but wont save them on my ps2 hard drive. I've heardd of this ePSXe that is an emulator for the computer to let u play ps1 games on the computer but i want to play them on my ps2. So my ultimate goal is to either have my ps2 be able to copy ps1 games to its HDD, or be able to download the ps1 game off the internet and put on a disk or something that my ps2 will read so it can store on the HDD. I just wanna have that big list of snes, nes, and genesis games that my uncle is able to play, on my ps2 filled with ps1 games. Educated answers only. And please make answers thorough and step-by-step

You may not like this, but I think you should give up putting them on your ps2. Wait don't stop reading. The reason being that the ePSXe cannot be put on your ps2, I think you understand that. By putting ps1 games on your computer you can easily save whenever you want in game thanks to save states. Meaning if there is no in game save until after your boss fight no prob just save during the fight. Also The ePSXe allows you to upscale ps1 graphics by applying things called shaders to the graphics configuration page. If you google some of the results some look as good as ps2 graphics. Lastly I use ePSXe on my laptop, so I can play PS1 outside, inside, on vacation, at school, at work, you get the idea. But if you don't care about any of that then I still can help you out. I have done some work with my ps2 as well and im pretty sure all you need is to install Free McBoot on your PS2. This isn't always easy, but I think the fact that you have the HDD will make things alot easier. If you need help or more info you should just go to the forums here: >> http://forums.sksapps.com/ << there are plenty of tutorials out there on the net. I personally used the hot swap method to soft mod my PS2, but there are many ways. If you dont want to ask ppl at SKS then I can be personally contacted on my site's forums found at >>> http://thecashcloud.clanteam.com/ <<< just navigate to the forums and ask away im on pretty often I put the info in the forum http://thecashcloud.clanteam.com/forum/files/viewthread.php?tid=7 You should know that softmodding might not be easy if you dont have the proper things. The method I used only required a $3 game, a DVD burner, and a blank DVD. Most computers can burn dvds, so this way is actually pretty cheap. Since you have a HDD there might be a better way, so I'll look into it.
