Having Problems with my psp..plz help?

  • I have custom firmware 4.01 m33 now recently my psp started behaving so wierd..like i used to select vsh menu by pressing select button.......and now when i press my home button vsh menu appears nd psp hangs..then i have to reboot.. And then i disabled my vsh menu...while playing music now i have to toggle thru select button rather than my home button... Another thing wen i press the brighteness button for few sec..my screen goes off nd when i agin want it back by pressing ne key it does not come but sounds can be herd... Also in the internet browser when i open the address entry it opens for a sec nd quit by itself....plz help me ne one that would help me resolve my problem with step by step instructions would get 10 points from me Thanks In Advance...

    Unlikely Sony will touch it. You have voided the warranty by installing custom firmware. Best bet is to install an older version firmware. If it is still playing up then you may have corrupted hardware keys. You may be able to fix these with patches. You know where to look ;) Here's another tip. You always could revert back to your previous firmware or an older version. Back up your files then transfer. downgrade the firmware then transfer back your files. What type of psp do you have? Your problems could be explained by - 1. You installed your firmware wrongly and caused errors and/or bugs. 2. If you have the old version of the psp. the firmware might not be compatible. If you are unable to solve your problem with software issues. it might be a hardware issue within the psp and might have to take it to a repair shop. or ship it back to sony if you still have warranty.
