What do you need to play CALL OF DUTY? (on playstation 3)?

First off for the system itself, depending on how much you think she will use it will determine which one you will want to get. If you know that she has a ps2 for example and would want to play old ps2 games on it, you would want to select one with back words compatibility. The other thing you will want to consider is the size of the hard drive. If she is planning to do a lot of Gaming, you may want to help her out and buy a system with a large hard drive. Call of duty games do not take up much space as standalone titles, unless you buy map packs which can take up a good deal of space (5.5GB with all map packs thus far on black ops) To play online you would need either an ethernet cable or wireless modem since the ps3 comes with built in wifi. A controller will come along with the ps3 A mic is optional, but will definitely help with tactical game play and adds a little extra fun to the mix. As for the game itself, it is truly up to you how much you plan on spending, but at the same time you may want to wait for Modern Warfare 3 to arrive in November. As for where to buy everything i would recommend Gamestop, since they offer used games you can find games and accessories for much cheaper than buying new, plus the staff will be able to help you out with any further questions you might have. Buying a membership there for $15 might also end up saving you money in the long run too.

PS3, controller, and game are all you need. I have a turtle beach headset, but it's not necessary. If she wants to play online, she will need the internet, obviously. COD Modern Warfare 1 is the best in my opinion, but there all great. I can't wait for MW3!

just the game and a ps3 and an online playstation network account that allows play online of mature content are needed , and obviously a tv and controller a headset optional if you want to voice chat in the game sub accounts or psn account for players under 18 are not allowed to play online games with mature content you should just get the latest call of duty ( black ops ) of it's a must have game , otherwise I reecommend battlefiel bad company 2 or resistance 3 because they are better games , call of duty has been hacked and is full of cheaters online any ps3 is fine , they cost the same everywhere so the closest store that sells them is fine

One of these people recommended: COD4: Modern Warfare, however i wouldnt agree. it is very hard to get into a lobby, assuming she wants to play online, however the storyline is awesome. If she wanted to play online i would recommend Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops because they have the most people online and they are less likely to be hacked. Modern Warfare 2 is going to be cheaper, plus it would be good practice for when modern warfare 3 comes out this November
