How To Make Ps3 Trophies?

How can I fix my trophy problem on Modern Warfare 2 for PS3?

  • I was playing Modern Warfare 2 for PS3 online (I was online level 18) but I went into a hacked server and didn't realise it until someone had killed me, then I got put up to level 70 and everything was unlocked. I kinda wanted to do it myself so I tried to find a way could I reset just my online level (not my Special Ops and Campaign), but seeing as you can only have one PSN account per user account and I didn't know how to delete a PSN account, so I made a new user account, went into PS3 Saved Data, copied the info from my Savegame and Online Profile into the new account and deleted the old user account. In the new account I made a new PSN account and everything was fine. I actually did this a few times, because I was experimenting to see if I could put it back to Lvl. 18, but each time I did I copied the Savegame and Online Profile into the new account and deleted the old. But I forgot to copy my trophies and now my trophies are messed up. I had about 33% of them unlocked, but now when I got into them it says I haven't unlocked any. I wouldn't mind unlocking them again, but it won't let me. Every so often, at a time when I should earn a trophy, it just comes up in the corner of the screen "you did not earn a trophy". Does anyone know how I can fix this? I would be willing to make new PSN/User accounts as long as I could keep my progress in Campaign and Special Ops, and I wouldn't mind earning the trophies again, but the game won't let me at the moment. Thanks

  • Answer:

Your trophies are tied to the PSN account that you initially created. Making a new account and copying the save data from the 1st account does not copy over the trophies. The reason you are unable to earn trophies is because the save data that you copied from your first account is only valid for that account. Using the save data from another account to earn trophies is blocked to prevent people downloading 100% save files from the internet and abusing the trophies system. If you are able to remember the username and password from your first account, you should be able to recover your trophies as they are saved on the online servers, which cannot be deleted from your ps3. If you can remember, follow these steps to get your initial account back: 1. Go to the XMB. 2. Go to PlayStation Network and click Sign up for new account. 3. Click Use An Existing Account. 4. Enter the username and password to gain access to your first account - this is the one which has 33% of your MW2 trophies. That should do it. You will have your account back, but it will still be at level 70. There is little you can do about this, other than going into another hacked lobby and requesting to have your rank reset to 0, and earning your level 18 back. The only thing I am unsure about is your save data and whether you will be able to pick up from where you left off in singleplayer and spec ops. I'm not sure whether the save data that you have been copying from account to account is tied with your PS3 User Account i.e. the account you select when you first start up your PS3, or whether it is tied to your PSN account, which would be the better outcome. Next time don't delete your user account without being sure about what your doing! P.S. Using paragraphs in questions help!
