How to play a Playstation game after configuring epsxe?

I downloaded and configured epsxe to play playstation games on my computer (i do own my own playstation but my tv wont change to the correct component to play it.) I also downloaded and iso of the game I want to play (also that I own - but again cant play) and I load the iso file on epsxe and the screen goes black and in the corner it says 1 and then shows a picture of a playstation controller and nothing else happens whats the matter?
Answer:

If you wnt 2 play ps games on you pc just buy a playstation software and install it inside the computer or there are some games discs in the market in which you will get the game and playstation emulator too! I think it will not work on tv,sorry.:(
