Why Cant I Connect To Xbox Live?

WHY CANT I CONNECT TO XBOX LIVE WHEN I PLAY MW3?

So when I turn on my xbox, i sign into xbox live just fine and can talk to my friends in party chat and stuff. Then when i put in cod Modern Warfare 3, the game begins to play and it immediately says 'disconnected from xbox live'. Then when i try to sign back in it just says 'trouble connecting to xbox live'. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP im so tired of the campaign already and ive only played 2 levels hahah

The server is completely overloaded right now. Not sure why they didn't expect a ton of people to be online and then create a platform to support it. I have only been able to get into 3 games in the past hour. You just have to let it keep searching and sooner or later it will log you in to a game. Hope this helps.
