Why do my Xbox 360 does this?

Why wont GTA San Andreas work on my xbox 360?

• okay, i got gta San Andreas (which is for original xbox) and put it in my xbox 360...didn't work. i googled how to get it to work and i got the latest update for the xbox 360 from the xbox website which said it would allow original xbox games to work on the 360, i downloaded it put it on a cd and put it in the xbox 360, the update completed just fine, but i still cannot play San Andreas...and error message came up that said the game couldn't start, try downloading game again? does anyone know what i can do?   Is it a pirated copy of the game, because that's what I'm interpreting from the part when you tell us you downloaded it and put it on a CD. If that's the case, then you need to flash your Xbox. If you have an original copy of the game, then maybe Microsoft didn't really update their system settings with old games.
