How can I hook up my XBOX 360 live through my laptop?

Xbox 360 Ethernet hook up to laptop, not working?

• I hooked my Laptop up to my 360, Bridged and Enabled everything. My laptop recognizes and is working with my 360. Problem is my 360 says there is no connection. I bought my 360 from a hock shop, but i had it checked out and its fine, im guessing maybe the IP and other settings were screwed around from the previous owner even though it was reset back to factory settings as well as updated using my my boyfriends wifi at the time. Ive done everything in my understanding and power to fix it but its not working. I know it has something to do with the Xbox. Please help.

  its not supposed to go in the laptop rather into the modem , and if its and xbox 360slim /the with a touch sensor start button\ using a wifi conmection would be etter and easier, but to the ethernet cale plug it into the back of the modem ,looking for a hole it would fit into properly tere should be 3-4 more of them in a row ,the holes, plug it into one and it should work
