Why wont my xbox live update the new dashboard?

This is the 12/7/11 update. My internet is working perfectly fine and this is really pissing me off because it says cannot update, test connection to xbox live. And its working!!!!! I dont understand this problem please help.

Same thing happened to me. I couldn't get on XBL until the update. Try signing in now. The update has already happened, so you should be able to sign in without any problems. Unless it's just your connection.
