How do I make my items on the screen smaller?

Screen Tearing on Xbox 360?

  • I just purchased a 42 inch LED-LCD LG LV5500. It is their top model besides the newest 3D models. It's 1080p and 120hz. I specifically purchased 120hz because I love the effect it has on movies and such. Whenever I play BF3 or Skyrim, there is screen tearing. I have NOT noticed screen tearing on Black Ops or MW3. Some may also call this lag, but it does not affect the entire screen, normally only about 1/10th of the screen is affected (about inch tall strips spanning the entire length of the screen left-to-right). When I turn on Game Mode on my TV, (which turns off 120hz processing) the screen tearing stops. Games look far superior with 120hz on, corners of buildings are smoother, turning is flawless, and thin items (like street lamps) are super defined and not fuzzy. Of course, screen tearing ruins this experience. What causes this, and is there a fix for it. I'm considering returning this TV, as I paid 700 dollars for a product that doesn't really deliver. The colors on it blow my old TV out of the water, but it's not an upgrade worthy of 700 dollars; the 120hz does make it worth it, if it wouldn't screen tear. Additionally, if anyone knows of particular TV sets that don't screen tear on 120hz, please feel free to inform me.

  • Answer:

I have a samsung 6000 series and I only get screen tearing when I play rage. A problem I do have is that when I play Skyrim, BF3, or MW3 I can see little pixel dots on the start menus or in Skyrim during loading screens when smoke comes out from the corners. Not much help but its some info. Do you have the same problems like I have with your games?
