Xbox 360: Why do I keep getting disconnected from online games?

• My internet works fine on the computer majority of the time and everything loads fast. There have been times in the last month or so where I've had to unplug or restest my modem and router to get the internet to work on my computer or to connect to Xbox Live. My internet provider is Comcast. I have a router and a modem. My Xbox is hooked up to my Linksys router with an Ethernet cord. Getting disconnected from online games really didn't become an issue until last month... this has happened on more than one game. I don't get disconnected from Xbox live entirely, but just the game's online server I was in and the Xbox Live party. When I have connection issues with my Xbox, the internet on my computer is still working fine. I've tried opening the ports on my router for Xbox Live, and even made my Xbox have a static IP address; however, none of those worked. I've tried plugging my Xbox directly into the modem, and I still have connection issues. I've also tried switching out my Xbox's Ethernet cord, but again, I still get disconnected. Can you give any suggestions on what might be the problem?

  Although many DSL and broadband hosts (AT&T, Comcast, etc.) "SAY" that you have unlimited bandwidth many companies still limit your availability. while you may have internet on your computers that doesn't mean the stream you're receiving wasn't "pulsed." And yes I made that up but it's metaphor for saying Comcast may have (for whatever reason) caused this to happen. Internet companies DO NOT like it when people use their services for stuff like PSN or Xbox Live because it DESTROYS their bandwidth.
