HELP ME ON MY XBOX 360?

Can someone help me with my xbox 360 hard drive problem?

  • I have a problem with my xbox 360 hard drive. It has suddenly stopped working. One day, I was just casually playing a game, then I decided to turn it off. The next day, when I turned on my xbox, it asked me if I wanted to create a profile or download a profile. So, I turned off my xbox and took out my hard drive. My friend also has an xbox 360 so I decided to try out my hard drive on his xbox. The same problem from before showed up. I put my hard drive back into my xbox and turned my xbox on. Usually, whenever you place your hand on the hard drive, you can feel a hum coming from the hard drive. This time, there was no hum. What should I do to get my xbox 360 hard drive up and running again? Could it be dead?

  • Answer:

Hard Drive Not Recognized If the hard drive is not listed among the available storage devices when you try to play a game, it may not be fully inserted into the console. Make sure you fit it on the top and push down until you hear a click. You can also try removing the hard drive and reattaching it. First, turn the console off, press the tab at the front of the hard drive and lift it from the console. Do not touch the hard drive bay contacts and connector contacts with your fingers or other metal objects. To reattach, position the drive over the bay and press it down onto the top of the console. Turn the Xbox 360 system back on and see if the hard drive is now recognized.
