How do I change my windows live ID?

Why cant I change my Windows Live ID?

Ok... My email I used to make my Xbox Live Account is lost forever, i went to Xbox.com and tried to change my email, i did but what had happened was i typed in the wrong email.... My email was never verified for Xbox, and now when i try to change my email again i get - "You have already re-named this account, please try again later" its been about 5 1/2 months.... and i still cant change it... can i change it? do i have to make a new account? or do i just have to live with it?
Answer:

Just go on to your Xbox, go over to your profile on the 'my Xbox' tab, press A, go down to options or preferences or whatever, you'll be able to change your Xbox live email from around there I forgot. I don't know how to change it from the computer so it's best to do it from the Xbox.
