My regular xobx(not 360) is blinking red. What do i do?

What do you xbox 360 people think of the ps3, vice versa?

  • To start this off, I currently have a ps3, which I bought yesterday. I bought it along with: Mw3, Bf3, Little Big Planet and Fallout 3. I still have my xbox. I loved to play it, and had hours of fun. But my step brother has a ps3. I have been playing call of duty, and killzone on it with him, and, in fact really enjoyed it. The the experience just seemed so much better. Which is the reason I purchased my ps3. And as far as my research goes, the ps3 isn't just better in my opinion, but in facts. Reasons: Ps3 may be dearer than the 360, but the price for xbox live is ridiculous. Making the ps3 cheaper in the long run. Ps3 supports hd aswell as blu-ray. Rather than just hd. And with the fact you can play blu-ray films on the ps3, it saves you having to burn a hole in your pocket by buying a blu-ray player. The ps3 controller doesn't need batteries. The ps3 is a lot more stable, doesn't have a disc tray, isn't flimsy, and definately doesn't break as easy as the 360.The ps3 remote is more simple, and less arkward. The ps3 has an internet browser (unlike 360), usb for acessories for acessories rather than complicated ones, and finally...The ps3, is not ugly. I mean, I like the 360, in fact I LOVE the 360. Most things about it are good. But from my point of view..I am sorry I got a 360 first, and not a ps3. Before I had both the ps3 and 360, I had a ps2. I played it LOTS. But once the xbox and ps3 came out, my direction was to the 360, instead of the ps3, because I didn't seem to have much fun on the ps2. But looking back to the day, I really did enjoy the ps2. But from what I remember, the original xbox was..terrible. I enjoyed the ps2. Hated the original xbox. Loved the 360. Words can't explain how much I have enjoyed playing the playstation3. Making it 2-1 to sony. Sorry, 360, I'll always love you, but I'm a ps3 person, now. --------------------------------------… So what is your peoples point of view?

  • Answer:

I prefer PS3, mostly more just sentimental reasons than anything. Xbox came onto the scene much later. PlayStation was absolutely f*#()ing amazing in its time. If you weren´t around during the era of gaming when games made the jump from cartridge based games, spanning mere single digit megabytes, to CD based games spanning hundreds of megabytes or even gigabytes, you probably cannot even fathom how awesome PlayStation was in its day. When you grew up with 2D sprites as graphics and 8 bit jingles as sound tracks, and see your first CGI movie (in my case it was Final Fantasy 7), and of course CD based games heralded the first soundtracks featuring full orchestras...and in the case of FF7, choirs as well...wow, what a great time to be a gamer geek. So yeah, I´m a PS3 fan mostly just because I´ve had PS since PS1. I´ve got nothing against Xbox 360 but I feel the decision to go DVD was a mistake. I think a lot of games for this generation probably could have been better (particularly big open world games, like Skyrim and Saints Row) if they weren´t limited by the 9gb cap of DVD9.

I'm sorry for the hostility: I think you're just like every PS3 player out there, and if you think the price for Xbox live is expensive, then you're too cheap to play on a console. Sure live is free, but the games are the same old 40-50 bucks. I am tired of hearing my nearly entire school b*tch about the Xbox, and can't wait for the day when you all SHUT UP!!!! I'm fine with you guys playing the PS3, but you just HAD to post your rants! My opinion is Xbox, my second opinion is that you should all stop comparing, and PLAY DAMMIT!!!

I have both so I'm pretty much indifferent. Though, I do prefer fighting games on PS3 and FPS's on Xbox.
