Where can i get my microsoft points?

Hi i have a friend in the netherlands and he is going to buy me some microsoft points but i live in the united states. I know ms points are country locked so i was wondering if he bought the points from the US amazon store or any .com US website could i then redeem the points?

The Points bought from the US version of Amazon would be US Microsoft Points and would work on your account, but I don't think Amazon would sell them to him. An individual seller on there may though.
