How do i play Xbox games on my Xbox 360?

How do I play original Xbox games on the Xbox 360 S?

  • I am wanting to play my original Xbox games on the Xbox 360 S (the newer model) but I am unable to, please help me in any way possible, the Xbox site has nothing to help me with it.

    There are only select Xbox games that were selected to be playable on the new 360's, so you might not be able to play some of your original games.

http://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-games/play-original-games Make sure the game you want to play is on that list first. If it is and your 360 has an actual hard drive, you can play the games. You will need the backwards compatibility update. The easiest way to get it is to start up one of those games which you're sign into Xbox Live. If you can't connect to Live, download the update from here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=603aa2f7-bbca-4fa6-b679-794bca845577&displaylang=en

Only a few original Xbox games are compatible with the 360. You can check out the list of games on www.xbox.com/support You'll also need a hard drive, and the latest firmware update which you can get just by logging into Xbox Live (a Silver acct. will work fine.)
