Help on fixing my Xbox 360?

Help finding and fixing the problem with my xbox 360 console?

• I have my xbox 360 for 5 years now. recently when playing on call of duty on xbox live the graphics came fuzzy and then went off with the error E74 and the bottom right light flashing red. I told my friend about this problem and he offered me to borrow a spare one he had until i got mine repaired. I used his console for about 2-3 weeks and then his has started flashing three red lights (all apart from top right). microsoft can repair this problem but it will cost £70 each console. Is this just a problem with the consoles or could this be some other problem within my property eg. wireless virus. i have tried different techniques to fix them such as putting them in a freezer for 20 mins, towel trick, even dismantling it and cleaning all Components but none seem to work.

  There is nothing you can do other than pay, sadly. Although, if you still want the xbox, buy a Xbox 360 slim. This console does not get RROD, E74 or any of the other common but fatal errors. Sadly, I can guarantee you that you will be spending money. Hope this helps
