How to flash an xbox 360?

  • I'm new to custom firmware so I was wanting to know how to flash my xbox 360. I have a black slim. I've done some research, and now i have reason to believe i have a liteon 1071 drive. My lot number is 1123x. That's all i know so someone help me =) please? Also, it would be good not to have to take apart my xbox, or anything like that, and also please be detailed i'm very new to this whole thing.

    To flash your Xbox you need to take it apart. Period. You can't do it without doing so. You can now flag any 360 drive as well. Download Jungleflasher beta (google it) and open it. Read all the readmes and all the instructions. They clearly tell you how to do it. It's prett easy too. Also, you need a Microsoft based operating system. Widows xp is the best for flashing. Apple products will not work. If you can't figure out how to do it, don't even try. You will most likely brick your DVD drive. I you can't figure out how, search xbo flashing on craigslist. Alot of people offer the service for around $30 or so. Also if you plan on playing live, make sure you use iXtreme 3.0 or you will get banned. And always upgrade to te news iXtreme wen it comes out.
