How to play XBox 360 on a iMac?

Can I play DVD-R DL games on Xbox 360 4gb?

  • I am inheriting PlayStation 3 this Christmas because I consider it to be the best gaming console out there. I know some of you might disagree with that, but don't dispute considering that this is only my opinion. The reason for this is the blu-ray capabilities and bluetooth. It also has dozens of awesome exclusives out there, I might say they are better than Xbox 360. But, there are some action and shooter games on Xbox 360 which I can't simply drop, such as Gears of War, Fable, Left 4 Dead etc. Yes, PS3 has equivalents for those games, but not the whole performance. So I just wanted Xbox 360 as well. Fortunately, almost all the games I want are not downloadable. Instead they are on optical disks and DVDs. As Xbox 360 250gb exceeds my financial range, I am planning to purchase Xbox 360 4gb because it cannot bare downloads and I don't want downloads. So I think its a perfect choice. All that was putting me in dilemma was: Can the Xbox 360 4gb play games on DVD-R DL? DVD-R DL has the storage capacity of nearly 8 gigabytes. Can I play those games like Fable 3 on Xbox 360 4gb? Will a harddrive upgrade act as the solution to the problem?

  • Answer:

No you could still play a couple of games without a hard drive, but if you plan to install any games or use xbox live you could buy a usb flash drive which is much cheaper than a hard drive, but a usb flash drive comes as a disadvantage because some games like halo reach require a hard drive.
