Why cant i connect or invite anyone to an xbox live party?

this is a problem me and a friend have been having lately whenever i try to join his or anything that he starts or whenever he trys to join me it fails it has to be my profile or xbox doing this. idk does anyone have any ideas??
Answer:

It could be your or your friends internet connection. Slow ones will make it hard to connect to a friend and sometimes XBL bugs out and wont let you join someone, try having someone make a party then you and your friend join it!

Contact the Live support, they always have a bunch of answers. Oh, and make sure you have the Gold membership and not the Silver one lol.
