    you can buy the fairly cheaply in a lot of places. The only time you really need to think about expensive cables is if you need one which is over 10 metres. You can buy them in games stores, and most electronics stores, or look online, amazon, or various other sites will have them.

Do you need HDMI? If so, any cheap HDMI cable will work. Seriously. I have a $5 HDMI cable I bought at a local electronics store that works just fine. If you don't have a local electronics store (not a national chain store!) that sells HDMI cables this cheap, you can buy them online at Amazon, or a dedicated cable maker, like Monoprice.com (http://www.monoprice.com) If you need a 360 HD-AV Component cable (with the 5 RCA plugs) the Microsoft brand cable is good enough, but you can also buy a generic brand if you like. I bought a cable for my Wii from Monoprice as well as a handful of HDMI cables, and haven't had any problems.
