What's wrong with my xbox?

Whats wrong with my xbox 360?

  • when i turn on my xbox i get the three plots (the red ring of death). ive fixed this problem before, but i think this is for a different reason. when i had the ring before the xbox would just shut off. but this time when i turn it on, the screen immediately says disc cannot be read, when i exit the screen it will let me play the disc for about 2 minutes and then freeze, please tell me whats wrong and what i can do to fix it.

    BECUASE ITS A XBOX First by the way iam saying get a PS3 Reasons: 1) free online play for free where as xbox is like 7 dollars a month 2) If u are use to a play station contoller it would be hard to adapt to xbox 3) PS3 has better exclusives like uncharted and killzone 4) since it is powered by blue ray it has better graphics than xbox and it can play blue ray and oridinal movies /dvds 5) PS3 has over 3x more online users than xbox Hope this helped and hope u choose this as best answer :)

OMFG! I had exactly the same problem just yesterday! After repairing the problem for months on end, I finally gave in and simply bought a new console, The Latest Xbox Slim. From what I was told it was a problem with the Disk Laser, but I replaced the CD Tray in its entirety several times and it still continued. My advice is to get a new one, as long as you have a data transfer cable you can send all your old hard-drive info across in under an hour, I find the consoles are cheap nowerdays £200 for the Slim 250 GB.
