Trimmed my rats teeth and now she wont eat solid foods.. WORRIED!!?

maybe it hurts to eat on the newly shortened teeth and the softer foods may feel better than the hard. Just let her "mouth" rest for a bit and then try giving her hard food or just let the hard food sit out until she eats it again

What did you use to cut it? B/c I read many books and they say that if you use any other tools other from the vet, it can be painful and you should've gone to the vet to get it trimmed b/c even tho u are careful, you need to numb their gums or the whole animal while trimming and you need to use a specific tool b/c back in the days, they used to use nail clippers or something else and not numb the animals and their teeth can be clipped badly, chipped, or you may have done something even more serious. Go to the vet if your rat doesn't eat for more than 3 days! While they're not eating, feed her what she eats (the bananas, baby food, yogurt even tho they are VERY bad for your rat, but it's better than not having them starve. I prefer not the baby food and yogurt b/c it's always a bad idea to feed an animal human food. ) Hope your rat gets better SOON! <3 Best wishes, Em

her teeth probably hurt! yeah you should just go to the vet tomorrow, and just make sure she gets drinks water until then
