  • Answer:

To tame a hamster just be really kind and gental, start to pet him/her slowly until she gets usted to you. Be prepared for small nipping, small animals use their mouths to get used to a new enviroment. its hard to explain how to pick up a hamster so watch this video.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7xqwIr2jDA&NR=1 and that is not me in the video !!! to put a hamster in its ball pick him up properly and just place him right in, make sure to close the lid of the ball tightly or hamster can escape. any other questions plz ask!!

I was taught to just put you hand in the cage palm up on the floor. Let your hammie smell you, it will eventually climb onto your hand when it is used to your smell. Gently, slowly lift your hand. Eventually it will allow you to cup it and carry it. Be careful, a scared hammie jumps and bits.
