Is it normal for guinea pigs to whine nonstop?

Is it normal for my guinea pigs not running around that much?

  • i got two little guinea pigs yesterday and i have them in a cage and i am building a huge c&c cage but they are not running around a lot all they are doing are staying in the tunnel so i was wondering if this is normal in getting new guinea pigs??

    Yes this is normal. Since they are new they are still scared of everything. After about a week they might begin to leave the tunnel to do more than just eat. For now place some treats (carrot, apple ect.), this should show them that you mean them no harm and just want to be their friend. Pretty soon they'll be used to their new house and will run around and do silly little things. Good luck XOXO Mash

yes that is normal, they are new and plus they are quite lazy, they are not nocturnal though. just wake them every now and then and hold them so they get to know you and their surroundings.

They're getting used to where they are. It is normal. Before you know it they'll be running right up to you! :)

yes thats perfectly normal right now. they are probably a little scared still from the switch to the new home. once they get used to the smell of you and your house and your surroundings they will be running and popcorning lots more:D

absolutely, because guinea pigs need some time to get used to their new environment. after a little while, your guinea pigs will feel more comfortable, so they will run around more.

Yes of course when there new they r very scared mine still stays in his house most of the time because it cozy and will come out for me handle them alot so they get to now u give them treats when you hold them that well make them like you.
